QuickTime export fails when the file or folder name contains extended characters

Description

If the output file or folder name contains extended character or if the system temp folder name contains extended characters, QuickTime export fails with error -43 or error -2003.

Extended characters are ones that are not included in the 7-bit ASCII printable character set. Refer to the Wikipedia article on ASCII for the table of 7-bit ASCII printable characters (safe characters).

Status

Corrected in V4.5.  A message box is displayed if you attempt to export to a file name that contains extended character.
