Trouble
report 556
"No QuickTime panoramas were found"
when importing an MOV file with QuickTime 7
Versions affected
3.0 - 3.4, 4.0 - 4.2
Description
Installing QuickTime 7 on your computer causes MOV import to stop
working in The Panorama Factory. After installing QuickTime 7,
importing an MOV file displays this message:
No QuickTime panoramas were found
even if the MOV file contains panoramas.
Workaround
We have prepared a patch for The Panorama
Factory V4.2 that corrects this problem.
You may download the patch with this URL:
http://www.panoramafactory.com/patch/pfactory_patch_4201.exe
To install the patch, either:
Select the "Open" button on the File
Download dialog box (Internet Explorer) to run the setup automatically
after the download finishes;
or:
Save the patch file to your computer and
then double-click it from Windows Explorer.
NOTES
- This patch applies only to V4.2 and is no longer needed now
that V4.3 has been released.
- This patch may be used for all editions of The Panorama Factory:
Legacy, m32 and x64. It also applies to all Batch editions.
- This path applies only to V4.2.
Although the problem exists in previous versions, this patch can be
loaded only if you have V4.2 installed on your computer.
- After installing this patch, you may encounter the problem described
in Trouble report 561, Abnormal termination
if you import QTVR, PTViewer or IVR while the Wizard is active.
To avoid this problem, be sure to Cancel the Wizard before importing
your QTVR image.
Status
Corrected in V4.3.
