Smoky City Design, LLC announced today that Intel will use 250 copies of The Panorama Factory panoramic image creation software as part of its demonstration package for the launch of the new Intel Centrino mobile technology. "We chose The Panorama Factory image processing software to demonstrate the increased performance and longer battery life of notebook PCs based on Intel® Centrino™ mobile technology. We are pleased to be working with them on this important product introduction," said Gordon Dolfie, Intel Director of Product Marketing for the Reseller Products Group. The Panorama Factory The Panorama Factory from Smoky City Design, LLC is an industry leading software product for creating panoramic images by stitching together individual image frames. It is used to create high-quality panoramas in a highly automated fashion from a set of overlapping digital images from a single vantage point. The Panorama Factory transforms (warps) the images so that they can be joined seamlessly into panoramas whose fields of view can range up to 360 degrees. The software also corrects for lens-induced distortions and creates either cylindrical or spherical image projectionsThe Panorama Factory creates images that rival those made by expensive rotational and swing-lens panoramic cameras.
