Local help does not work with
Windows 95
Versions affected
V1.0 - V1.6.
Description
When The Panorama Factory is installed under Windows 95 with the Local Help option,
attempts to access the help file receive the message:
Problem with Shortcut
Unable to open "///C|/Program Files/The Panorama
Factory/PFactory/help/somefilename.html"
Workaround
If you are running Windows 95, there are two strategies for dealing with this problem.
- You can use the Web Help version of The Panorama Factory. To convert a Local Help
version to a Web Help version, rename or remove the "help" sub-directory of
C:/Program Files/The Panorama Factory/PFactory.
- If you want to keep the help files local to your machine, instead of accessing them
though The Panorama Factory's Help command, instead use the Windows 95 file explorer to
double-click the file "index.html" in the "help" sub-directory of
C:/Program Files/The Panorama Factory/PFactory.
