You use the Find dialog box to search through the message catalog. You can search for strings or for unfinished items.

The Find strings tab of the Find dialog box performs a textual search through the message catalog.
Search for
The target text to search for.
Whole word
Select this checkbox to match only on whole words. Otherwise the search will
also match on partial words.
Whole string
Select this checkbox to match the entire original, translation or comment
string. Otherwise the search will also match on portions of the string.
Match case
Select this checkbox to require that the matched string agrees with the
capitalization of the target text. Otherwise the search is case-insensitive.
Original strings
Select this checkbox to allow matches in the Original
string column of the spreadsheet.
Translation strings
Select this checkbox to allow matches in the Translation
string column of the spreadsheet.
Comments
Select this checkbox to allow matches in the Comment
column of the spreadsheet.
All folders
Select this radio button to search through the entire message catalog.
Selected folders
Select this radio button to search only within the folders that are selected in
the folder tree.
The Find unfinished items tab searches for incomplete translations. It finds the next translation that meets one or more of the selected criteria:
Fuzzy translations
This options searches for translations that are marked as fuzzy.
Duplicated originals
Each original string may appear only once in the message catalog. This option
searches for original strings that appear more than once. This should be
possible only in master mode.
Untranslated
This option searches for empty translation strings.
Inconsistent newlines
This option searches for translations that have a different number of lines
from the originals.
Unsupported format specifiers
This option searches for format specifiers (%d, %1, etc) that are not supported
by c-language format or pf-format. This considers only original strings marked
as containing formatted strings.
Inconsistent format specifiers
This option searches for translations that contain format specifiers (%d, %1,
etc) that are inconsistent with the original strings. This considers only
original strings marked as containing formatted strings.
