Hi everyone,
I am the author of The Panorama Factory. I read German only a very little bit with great difficulty. I cannot write in German. So please forgive me for posting in English.
I am really glad to have your help with the German translation of The Panorama Factory. It's my goal to make the software accessible to a wider group of people by providing the software in the user's own language.
As most of you probably know, a German edition of V2.4 of The Panorama Factory was released earlier this year. This translation was performed by Frank Stiller and Dirk Hartmann (www.stillersite.de) and edited by my friend and colleague Johann Tonsing.
When V3 of The Panorama Factory was released, Johann translated the new strings. I then released the string table to a limited number of German reviewers.
Three reviewers have submitted suggestions to me. I merged their changes into a new string table, which I will attach to another post. When possible, I accepted the changes without editing. However, in many cases, the reviewers made different suggestions for the same strings. In these situations, I did my best to choose among the suggestions. If I made a mistake, please tell me about it in this forum.
There are probably a few cases where I declined to make a suggested change or accidentally missed one. If you feel the change was important, please tell me.
Also, in a few cases, reviewers have suggested changes that I am not sure about. I'll create a new discussion thread for each one of these questions. Please discuss these questions in the forum so that we can come to a common understanding of what changes should be made (or not made).
