I downloaded the program twice, but can't open it. When I try, a box comes up & says, "C:/download/pfactory.exe. a device attached to the system is not functioning." When I click on OK, another box says, "The PFactory.exe file is linked to missing exportMFC42DLL8877" Is this caused by my computer or the program? Please let me know, as I would very much like to try this program. Thank you, Gerry |

This indicates that you have an out-of-date version of the shared DLL MFC42.DLL. The Panorama Factory installer is intended to load the DLL if it is missing from your machine or if the version included with PF is newer than the one on your machine. This problem can be caused in (at least) two ways. 1. If PF is installed on an NT system with an ordinary user login rather than an administrator login the installer may be unable to update MFC42.DLL and MSVCRT.DLL. 2. If you select "Custom" installation and clear the checkmark for "Shared DLLs" then the installer will not load them. |
