I want to change both image width & height and also the compression ratio.
also please give a simple java applet to view the panorama online. |

Q1: How can I control the image width & height?
In the current version (V2.4) of The Panorama Factory you can directly control the size of the stitched image file (width and height) but not the displayed size (e.g. in a QTVR viewer). For more information, and for a workaround to manually control the displayed size, read Dimension of QTVR movie.
I am planning to add controls for the displayed size in the next major release (V3). I can't promise a date for that release--it is still some time in the future.
Q2: How can I control the compression ratio?
The current version (V2.4) does not provide control over the compression ratio. The next major release (V3) will include controls for the compression quality for QTVR as well as JPEG. Again, I can't promise a date for that release--it is still some time in the future.

The Panorama Factory is a stitching application that may be used to create images for display in different panorama viewers. It does not include its own panorama viewers. There are many good viewers available from other websites and some of them are free. For a good tutorial see Putting Panoramas and Object movies in a web page at panoguide.com. This website also has a table providing a Comparison of VR viewers. |
