I use SmugMug (www.smugmug.com), which is pretty interesting/powerful. It's not a free service, but you get what you pay for... no annoying ads, and no "limits" as to size of images (except as I note below). They allow an unlimited number of images to be stored, but meter the bytes of "traffic" for folks viewing your images (4, 8, or 16 gigs/month, dependent on your annual fee). This allows for *lots* of viewing by your audience, who can download the orig photos (if you allow that).
They have printing (but only to 8x12, I think), watermarking, and many other features. I don't use 20% of their capabilities.
For panos, there are two "limits" which might be interesting. They have filesize limits of 8 or 16 megs/file, and a "dimension-of-image" limit of 48 megapixels. Perhaps those limits will affect some panos.
Perhaps one useful strategy would be for a person selling panos would be to upload a lower-res version of the pano to SmugMug (or someplace), let the potential buyer see the (watermarked) version of the file, pay for that pano, and then the photographer would send the full-size, non-watermarked version to a printer (like http://www.elcocolor.com/hot_internet_only_specials.htm) for printing the pano, and have that print sent directly to the purchaser.
Lotsa "steps" in this procedure... can others offer better ideas?
