This is a new problem. When I import image using wizard and hit stitch PF takes the far left image and also pastes it on the right side. It adds cross hatching on the left and right sides of the panoramic.

I think you have selected the "360 degree panorama" option. The behavior you described is correct for a 360 degree panorama. The Panorama Factory repeats the left hand image at the right hand end of the panorama to close it into a full circle. An example is shown on the help page Stitch the images into a panorama.

If you are not making a 360 degree panorama, select "Partial panorama" instead to get the result you expect.
