Is there any way to optimize the QTVR file size? I've optimized all my images in PS, but my final file size is still 566 K...way too big. all of the jpgs together equal about 150 K....
any advice?

I also was going to inquire as this topic.
I have 12 images that when created gives a .mov file that is 7.39 megs big

Is there anything that can be done to correct this, or make it smaller

When creating QTVRs in Apple's software, in order to reduce the size of the MOV I take the stitched PICT file into Photoshop and shrink it, keeping its long dimension divisible by 96 and shortest by 16. Unforunately at the moment it doesn't appear that TPF can do this intermediate stage, which means that the dicing is done on the full-size stitched image, resulting in unnecessarily large MOV files.

Chris.

Hi, sorry for the delay in responding.

Actually, The Panorama Factory can do the resizing itself. In fact, The Panorama Factory provides three different approaches to controlling the size of your QTVR file.

1. To control the size of the image in pixels, you can specify the finished size on Wizard Step 5. Select Prepare image for internet display. Then select the Image width or Image height radio button and enter the desired image size in pixels. (QTVR technical note: The Panorama Factory adjusts the width to the closest multiple of 96 to meet QuickTime's requirements.)

2. Or, if you want to specify a file size in kilobytes, select Automatically resize on the Save Image As dialog box. Then enter the desired size in KBytes. The Panorama Factory will resize your image to a smaller size if necessary to achieve the requested file size.

3. You can also reduce the file size by adjusting the Image quality setting on the QTVR settings dialog box. To open the QTVR settings dialog box, click the QTVR settings button on the Save Image As dialog box. Lower quality settings tend to reduce file sizes. You can probably reduce the Image quality setting to 50 (or even lower) without degrading image quality too much.
