I've downloaded the patch, even saved as a psd, when I try to open a pano image saved to my photo file from panorama factory it won't open in photoshop, says it's having trouble parsing the file. Yet I can open it in Lightroom, Photomatix, and Noise Community noise remover. But I need to do some cloning that I can't do in those other programs. I'd really like to buy this program but I need the pano immages to open in Photoshop. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Terry,

Could you send us an example of the file that won't open? It'll also help to know what OS you are running on (Windows and version or OSX and version) and what version of PhotoShop you're running.

Please send this information to support @ panoramafactory.com.

Thanks,
John

Problem solved. I couldn't open in my old Photoshop 6 but could in the trial version of PS CS5. Since that's a bit pricey, I downloaded GIMP and it opens fine in that program.

Sorry for the trouble! I really like your panorama program and I wanted to make sure I could edit in my photo programs.

Hi Terry,

I'm glad you solved the problem!

Did you choose the "Save 48-bit pixels" option on the PSD Settings dialog box? That would explain why Photoshop 6 couldn't read the file. The 48-bit pixels option requires Photoshop CS or newer (refer to http://www.panoramafactory.com/help/help.html?p=hidd_psd_settings.html).

Again, I'm glad it's working for you!

Best,
John

When I use GIMP I do not have any problems. It seems to me that this is the perfect option for everyone. Visiting this forum, I once again made sure that I did the right thing. Also I'd like to share with you fresh info. Follo the link and enjoy.
