QuickTime Still Image is a component of QuickTime 4.0 that you can choose to install (or not install) when you install or update QuickTime. You must select this component as part of the QuickTime installation. Refer to Installing support for VR creation in The Panorama Factory help for a list of the QuickTime components you must install. Refer to the Apple documentation for instructions on how to install QuickTime. |

As with many software packages, the QuickTime installer gives you many installation options. You must either select the Full Option when you install QuickTime or select the necessary components in the Custom Install option. If you have already installed QuickTime, you must run the QuickTime Updater to make certain all of the required components are installed. This is normally in your Windows Start menu under Program Files ... QuickTime. For a list of the components required by The Panorama Factory, see Installing support for VR creation. |

Before I buy The Panorama Factory I will be sure it is possible to make a QTVR, QuickTime VR. When I choose QTVR in Project Wizard the answer is: "Qick Time Internet Extras are not installed". But I have already installed all extras to my QuickTime. |

Hi Hjalmar, I'm sorry you're having trouble with The Panorama Factory's QTVR support. I will try to help you solve it. Please start by double-checking your QuickTime installation with the QuickTime Updater: Use the Windows Start menu (usually in the lower left hand corner of your screen) and select Programs, then QuickTime and then QuickTime Updater. When the QuickTime Updater starts, click the Custom button and make sure the following components are selected:
- QuickTime Essentials
- QuickTime Internet Extras
- QuickTime Still Image
- QuickTime Authoring
The Panorama Factory checks your QuickTime installation by looking for the following QuickTime DLLs:
- QuickTime.cpl
- QuickTimeInternetExtras.qtx
- QuickTimeImage.qtx
- QuickTimeAuthoring.qtx
These DLLs are normally located in c:\windows\system\quicktime or c:\windows\system32\quicktime. Please let me know what you find out after you check your installation using the QuickTime Updater and after checking for the DLLs.

How is this issue being resolved to adequately fit Quicktime 7 needs? Because i just upgraded from 6.5 to 7, and there is no updater, so PF will not save .mov files after a default install.

Hi pmb, I have tested The Panorama Factory using "Quicktime 7 with iTunes" which is the version of the free player currently available for download from Apple.com. As far as I have been able to determine, the default installation of Quicktime 7 includes all components that are required by The Panorama Factory. It does not display any messages about missing components and is able to correctly create MOV files. It appears that Quicktime 7 no longer offers options about which components to install. Apparently it always performs a full install. I tested Quicktime 7 on a computer that has never had Quicktime installed. I also tested it on a computer where I upgraded from Quicktime 6.5.2. On both systems, The Panorama Factory was able to create MOV files without problems. If this is different from your experience, I recommend you uninstall Quicktime completely and then reinstall it. Or, if you wish, you may contact support@panoramafactory.com so that we can open a customer support ticket on this problem. We will probably need to request additional information about your computer system and this is best handled through email support.
