We are currently trying to rotate one panaorama 360 on a cylindrical plane as do not want to look at the ceiling and the floor too much. The problem is it starts of too zoomed on on automatic play and we want it to start zoomed out so adjust the FOV, but then it automatically adjusts the HFOV to less that 360 so we do not get a full rotation. In theory is there away of zooming out a bit from the start but still keep the full 360 rotation? |

Yes, PF can do this. You control the initial view of the panorama using the method described in the help article Controlling the initial viewpoint of your panorama. In addition to controlling the direction of view, this controls the initial zoom factor. Draw a rectangular hotspot representing the the area that you want to display in the viewer and mark the hotspot with This hotspot is the default view. The smallest rectangle that encloses the hotspot will expand to fill the viewer. A smaller area will zoom in and a larger area will zoom out. Andrew, I'm not sure from your message if you tried adjusting the FOV using the Panoramic image properties dialog box. This isn't usually a good idea; it may also introduce distortions into your image. This dialog box is intended primarily for describing an already-stitched panorama that you import from outside PF. When you stitch inside PF, you should normally leave these settings unchanged. (Message edited by jstrait on December 11, 2008) |
