There are two solutions:
1. Reducing the blending region
2. Specifying which image is used
The blending region depends on the original pictures taken with your camera. There is a minimum that you can overlap, but no maximum. If you are using a tripod, you can try adjusting the amount of overlap by increasing the number of degrees that you rotate before taking the next picture. This will also reduce the number of pictures (possibly) required to complete the image.
Personally, I want as much overlap as possible. This gives me more to work with, if it is not good in the left hand shot then perhaps the right hand shot will look better.
To fix overlap (my preference) when you are on the "Save Final Image" screen click on the "Next" button. It will show a "cropped" view of the image. If you then click on the image on the left. You can then "draw" which image you want from the left or right. This helps a lot when you have people moving, flag waving, etc.

That there would be a "Next" button. When I found what that was I always use it. I think if you check it out you will find that it will help you resolve 99.9% of your problems.
