I have a scanner that sometimes produces different sized scans, just by a few pixels, usually. I now understand that your program needs all the images to be the same size. Just a few notes on this ..
It's quite painful to resize images in your program. Often resize doesn't work, and crop is not really designed for resizing images. I was able to resize images in PS and all turned out well .. incredible even. The results are amazing. Great program |

I don't think it is "painful" to resize images. Simply select the group of thumbnails and apply the Resize command (New image menu).
However, resizing is not really the right thing to do in this situation as it changes the image resolution of each image differently (admittedly a very small difference). The "Trim rectangle" feature is designed to trim the edges off the images so they are the same size without changing their resolution. This process is described in the help section Trim rectangle.
To use either of these methods, you have to start by cancelling the Wizard because these commands cannot be used while the Wizard is active. After cancelling the Wizard, import your images, trim or resize them and then use the Stitch with the Wizard command (New image menu) to start the Wizard on the selected images. |

I did try the trim rectangle in the classic mode, but it constantly can up with an OK/Cancel box for trimming and then told me that no area was selected. So I learned that I needed to click the rectangle into the image and arrange it's location. but then I could find no way to finish the trim command. I did this quite a few times till I finally bailed and resized the images in PS. That worked and allowed me to produce results.
Since this can break the wizard process, you might want to test image size sooner and prompt users accordingly, or at least change the error message they get to explain a little about why images have to be the same size and what command to use to trim them .. maybe even offer an automated trim so it doesn't break the wizard. Just a thought |

When you're using trim rectangle, you should see a "Trim imported image" dialog box on the screen with Approve, Cancel and Help. After clicking the rectangle into the image and arranging its location, clicking Approve should complete the trim command.
That said, your suggestion about adding automatic trim to the Wizard is one that's been on the list for a while, but it always seems like there's something else that's higher priority. I wish I had enough time to do everything that's on the list. Hopefully it will get done someday!  |

OK, I now know why I was confused by this process. It turns out the trim image dialog is non-modal. I was assuming I had to close that panel in order to work with the image to position the rectangle. If there were a way to strip the title bar off that dialog it would be more logical for users. |
