I'm a newbie to panorama's but have been getting some beautiful images using the Factory. However, when I'm shooting from the center back wall of a long narrow room ( 40 X 20 ) I get a very pronounced horizontal bulge in the center part of the pan. I think its due to focal length but haven't had any luck correcting it. The pan was created using a tripod/Kiwi bracket/Canon 20D/with an 18/55 Canon lens with minimum zoom, and about 7 shots. Any suggestions are appreciated. |

As long as your image is less than about 140 degrees wide, you can produce an image with conventional perspective (straight lines) by choosing the Perspective projection option on the Select panorama type step of the Wizard or selecting the Perspective cropping option on the Crop image dialog box.
Refer to the FAQ article Why do straight lines get turned into curves for more information about why panoramic images show this type of curvature.

Thanks so much for your help. I love the software! Just returned my fisheye because I don't need it with the Factory.
