I would like to produce a 360 panorama of several rooms. Each movie has at least 1 hotspot calling up the movie for the next or previous room. I am showing the movie on an html page without frames.
Hotspots were created with the next movie .mov as the URL value and 'myself' as target (no called frame).
First movie shows nicely at the choosen location of our html page. Clicking the hotspot shows the second movie in the same location or our page, which is what I want. This time the controller is missing though.
Clicking on a hotspot of the second movie does not show the third movie in the location of our page but opens a new and empty html page with only the movie showing and again without the controller.

I tried to solve this by manually adding more 'hotspot'/'target' pair lines in the proper places of the html page but it looks like they are only recognized and for the first movie and not for the others.
I have seen many panoramas with virtual tours allowing to click hotspots in order to open doors, next room, ...etc. The page and the plug-in layout (controller, decorations, ..) never change.
How do you do that using Panorama Factory?

Since I am always offering QTVR and PTviewer options, my next step is to do the same with PTviewer. Should I anticipated problems here too?

Thanks for any input and help,
Michael Kaz

The quick answer is that you should create a separate HTML page for each MOV file and make the hotspots reference the HTML pages.

As I understand it, specifying "myself" for the target in a MOV file is supposed to replace the movie without changing web pages. I do not know whether the problem you are having with the "myself" target is a problem in the QTVR viewer, the browser or The Panorama Factory. I will have to investigate this in more detail, but I can't promise a quick answer.

The Panorama Factory's method for building virtual tours is intended to work in a consistent way regardless of which VR viewer you use: QTVR, PTViewer or IVR. To make a system that is "viewer agnostic", we have to limit ourselves to standard HTML features. But sometimes this can be an advantage. By linking HTML pages together, you can even make a virtual tour that combines pages built with different viewers.

That said, it would be nice if features of a particular viewer like the "myself" target in QTVR would work properly. :-) I will try to research this probem. If I can learn anything helpful, I will report back here.
