With every update (V3.3, V3.4, etc), we try to add all new cameras that have been released since the previous release. The Nikon Coolpix 8800 was released more recently (September 2004?) than V3.3 (June 2004). Fortunately, The Panorama Factory works well even if your camera is not in its camera library, so you don't have to wait until the next update. Until the next update is released, you should follow the advice given on the help page Wizard step 2 – Describe your camera. The Nikon Coolpix 8800 is a point-and-shoot camera (it is not a digital SLR), so you should choose Other digital camera -- using 35mm equivalent . It has a 35mm equivalent focal length range from wide angle 35mm to telephoto 350mm (this information is found in the camera's user manual). You can try to guess the focal length you used (e.g. enter 35mm if you are at the widest wide angle setting), or simply select Automatically detect focal length. We recommend using Automatically detect focal length even if your camera is in the camera library. This setting usually gives the best results. (Message edited by jstrait on December 28, 2004) |
