Hi, I was if PF Version 3.3 was limited to 8 BIT? How does PF V 3.3 compare in quality to the panorama function built into Photoshop CS? Thanks, Rich

All versions of The Panorama Factory, including V3.3, support both 8 and 16 bits per color channel. The mode is selected automatically according to the attributes of the first image you import. After importing the images, you can change the mode selection if you wish by using the Project properties dialog box. Obscure technical note: In the documentation, the 16-bit mode is sometimes referred to as 45-bit color (R+G+B). In the interest of full disclosure, The Panorama Factory really supports 15 bits per color, not 16. The 16th bit is used by The Panorama Factory for house-keeping information. This is not a significant limitation because few cameras or scanners can produce 16 bits per color channel. They usually produce 10, 12 or 14 bits per color channel stored in a 16-bit value. So the loss of one bit out of 16 does not matter.
