Image bending when printed

I stitched together 5 images created with my digital camera to produce a 180 degree panorama. Question, why is the printed image bent (8" X 41" printed image), that is it appears as a V shape in the printed format. The bottom of the V is the nodal point of the camera and the image has a V shape instead of being horizontal fron left to right. It's bent. I hope this is some what clear. Are there any settings to adjust.
