When I produce panos from fine 1520x2272 digital jpeg images ex my Sony DSC85 (using PF V3.0), the resulting images often seem quite grainy. Using 1200x1600 as originals usually seems to be OK, though sometimes turning Q+ off helps. What is reason for this? and how best to cure the problem. Have tried various combinations of exposure, correction etc, but with little success. Also, does Ver 3.1 include properties the new Sony F828 camera, if not, when can we expect? Ta Barrie |

Hi Barrie, I had the same problem with a cheaper camera. Some ones seem to sharper the pictures digitally to compensate for the deficiencies in optics. The doubled sharping in Panofactory overdoes it. Try to soften your input pictures and see what happens. Let me know if this solved your problem, bd As a long-term solution you should search for the seeting in your camera to turn this 'feature' off. |
