The actual Hotspot command allows the user to easily create a 'virtual tour' using links between an image and an other. But when exporting to QuickTime format, I (the user) would want to be able to directly link the current panorama to another one without using a web page, like QuickTime Panorama Scene format allow the user to do. Clicking the hotspot in the viewer should then open the linked file into an other viewer, or directly into the current opened viewer.
This type of "Hotspot" is not implemented in the v3.0 of Panorama Factory. Will it be implemented the future version, or is it a useless function that I'm the only user want to use ? :) |

It says that you can cause the image to replace the current movie in the plug-in viewer by setting Target=myself. I tested this and it seems to work. To make this work in The Panorama Factory, you make these settings on the Hotspot properties dialog box:
URL: Set to a .mov file, e.g. Livingroom.mov
Target: Set to "myself"
This seems to replace the current movie in the web browser without changing the web page. It does not, however, seem to work as desired in the QuickTime player application (not in a web page). Setting target to "myself" or "quicktimeplayer" seems to cause the opening of a new player window when you click the hotspot.
The Panorama Factory currently creates only "single node" QTVR files. Changing images in the QuickTime player application without opening a new player window may require creating a "multi-node" QTVR file. In a multi-node QTVR file, a single .MOV file contains several panoramas.
Multi-node panoramas are not supported by the current version of The Panorama Factory. |
