Hello all, I am a newbie. I am trying to start up a VT business just to make a little extra money. I plan to buy this software. It seems great and a whole lot less expensive than some of the others out there. The only problem is that I don't know a thing about websites. I know I will need one, nothing too fancy, maybe a yahoo site, just to display a couple example tours, and then I read that I may need to "host" the tours on my site. Can someone tell me, in the plainest English possible, what that means and if this software can allow me to do that? Thanks for your time. |

Funnily enough, I had almost the same idea... However I know a little more than you about creating websites it seems. Ok. I love panorama factory, the stitching is great and it really is able to be the only tool you'll need for doing a VT business... HOWEVER. I also bought another package specifically designed for creating tours (i use PF for the stitching) because I HATE playing with html and i wanted something I could press some buttons here, change a setting there, and be done with. I have created a couple of tours with PF, but it did involve some html mucking around with and they aren't pretty. www.digitalsheep3d.com/1120ridge/index.html so its do-able as you can see, but you will need some html knowledge. but given some html knowledge you could make them look absolutely amazing - how they look has little to do with PF (i'm talking about the whole tour, not the actual panoramas - PF does a superb job of generating nice java panoramas) as far as hosting goes, yes you'll need somewhere to host them - most estate agents assume that's part of what you offer. some software packages that focus on the VT creation even have an option for hosting your tours on their site.... in the end its up to you. but honestly if you don't know much html (or hate it like me) then i recommend software that focuses just on the VT creation and leave PF for the stitching. |

Can someone please help me with how to have the virtual tours available to the public. I need to host 4-6 virtual tours per page, one page for each client. I could ultimately need 100 pages or more to host the VT. I shoot real estate and will need to have one hosted page dedicated to each property, I have no knowledge of html. I could use some help in very plain english! Much appreciated!!! |
