I've just tried 4.2 and have a serious problem with color saturation. The resulting merged photo appears to be fully saturated, compared to the very light originals. I did not change any settings from the default. Any way to keep the original colors? Or at least tone it down? |

This sounds like a variation of the problem described in the troubleshooting guide article Controlling automatic exposure correction. I suggest you either disable automatic exposure correction or adjust it to a lighter setting. Automatic exposure correction does a nice job for most images, but sometimes it goes too far, especially for extremely light or dark images. You can adjust these settings on the Control image quality Wizard step or you can adjust them after exiting the Wizard with the Blending properties dialog box (Tools menu). I hope this helps!

How do I make that option the default one? New project will revert back to Exposure correction = yes Thanks |

If you're using the Wizard, you don't need to do anything special to set default settings. The Wizard retains the settings from one program run to the next. This means that if you change to automatic exposure settings on Wizard 4/9, the values will be preserved the next time you create a panorama. If you're using the Classic interface (menu commands), you can set the default settings for most dialog boxes (e.g. Blending properties) using the Profile mechanism. Just get the settings the way you want them on the dialog box and then click Save settings to a profile... Select New project default settings and click OK to update the default settings. |
