Making a panorama from four images with varying amounts of overlap, the program produced an extremely long image that was not lined up right. I couldn't find a way to slide the images over to make it line them up correctly.

To manually adjust image alignment, follow these steps for each overlap region in turn:

1. To open the first overlap region, click on its top or bottom edge (see the Stitch command).

2. Once the overlap region is open, use the LEFTARROW and RIGHTARROW keys to manually align the two images one pixel at a time. Hold the SHIFT key to move the images 10 pixels at a time. Hold both SHIFT and CTRL to move 100 pixels at a time. When you get close, nudge the images around one pixel at a time until you get the sharpest image in the middle of the overlap region.

NOTE: Manual adjustment is possible only if fine tuning has not been performed, so if you selected Automatically fine tune on the Fine tuning properties dialog you’ll need to use the Clear fine tuning command to remove the fine tuning of this overlap region before adjusting its alignment.

For more information about improving the stitched image, read Step 4 - Fine tune the stitched image

After I have re-aligned the images, how to save the changes to the panorama?

To save your finished image as TIFF, JPG or BMP, use the Save current image command.

To save your finished image as a QTVR file for viewing with the Apple QuickTime viewer, use the Save QTVR panorama. To save as an IVR file for viewing with the MGI Zoom Viewer (formerly LivePicture), use the Save IVR panorama command.

To save your stitching project so that you can continue working on it at a later time, use the Save project command.
